Fab-Lab @ Universidad Nebrija hosted the meeting of Womenin3DPrinting Madrid chapter

The Fab-Lab of the Polytechnic High School of the Nebrija University hosted the meeting of the local group of Women in 3D Printing, promoted by the ambassador of the organization in Madrid, Elvira León, director of the company ADDvance.

From ADDvance3D we want to thank you for this institution for welcome us in such a nice place and for the drinks offered, and also to Prof. Rafael Barea, who showed us all the equipment and explained how the Lab is managed and exploited by enthusiastic students.
During the meeting, our colleague and friend Almudena Alonso, shared very interesting topics and ideas about what are technologies like Big Data, Analytics, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence, and how they can be applied to the control of the manufacturing processes in general , and in additive manufacturing in particular.
We also discussed other interesting topics, such as the important help that decision support software can provide to address the implementation of AM technology at industrial scale, the challenges in repeatability and reliability of the processes of manufacturing, and the efforts needed for the development of new plastic materials for automotive
